Dang Lunar Eclipse

Went to Serendra with Stell to witness this *much-awaited* lunar eclipse (kami lang naman yung excited). Chose Serendra because the place isn't crowded with buildings and we have a grand view of the sky.

A grand view of the CLOUDY sky.

Anyway, after looking at some chaka shoes from some stores (all will remain nameless) we finally settled at this bench next to Fully Booked facing Serendra. Chatted about the lives of other people (chismisan everly) when Stell looked up and saw the moon! A cloudy moon, that is, and we saw a *hint* of the earth's shadow as it was passing over the satellite. (echoss lang yon wis talaga kami nakita kasi nga puro ulap!)

On the way to TGIF we took a picture of Migs' "Astroboy" sculpture so he can draw pututoys to his heart's content.

After mabusog sa ceasar salad at TGIF,we went to bpi and craved for tea (kasi as usual sarado nanaman ang Tea and Therapy) finally had tea at Coffee Bean where I had Ginseng Peppermint (lasang tsaa na may colgate) and Stell had Japanese Cherry Chorva (parang libre sa chinese restaurant pero mabango).

On the way to the parking lot we looked up and there it was, in all its cloudless glory -- THE MOON. Not a cloud in the sky, in all its uneclipsed glory full and bright. *kamusta naman ngayon pa nawalan ng ulap kung kelan tapos na ang eclipse!*

Two Years!

My life for the past two years described in 158 posts.

I've been blogging for two years. actually bukas pa ang birthday (Aug. 15). i know some people who have been blogging for like, forever (like gerwin, who i guess has been keeping an online journal even before the rest of us have our own email addresses) pero wala lang. here's to me! yehey.

it has been a year since i got out of the condo. minsan tinitignan ko yung pictures and di pa ren ako nakapaniwala na once i used to live in such a nice place. well i didnt think it was nice then (really), i thought it was small and it was all i can afford (nagtitipid pako sa cable hehe) but now come to think of it, i was really really lucky to have such a place all to myself right in the heart of makati with Rufo's to keep me company (and make me fat hehe).

speaking of fat, a year ago i was at my heaviest (107 lbs sa lagay na yan. di talaga ako tumataba kahit ano gawin ko... lahat napupunta pa sa tiyan). after 4 months i dropped to 95 lbs. only this month did i reach 101 lbs. ok na to masaya nako.

anyway, back to my blogging, here are some nice entries i want to share to celebrate this blog's birthday:

THE BEST OF WHAT THE HELL:

feeling kinda paranoid tonight (my first entry!)
psycho friends!
images to sear into my memory
latest hobbies
where are the single straight guys?
The Reserve List

and the one below: "THE SECRET" DOESN'T WORK.

THE SECRET DOESN'T WORK!

If you dont know what The Secret is, you can read the BS here

Meanwhile for those of you who are forcing your naturally pessimistic selves to make a 180-degree turn into the happy beyond (vallium addicted junkie with a smile plastered on your face) I would like to tell you that it won't work! stop wasting your time convincing yourself of your happy existence and that everything is going according to plan!

You will not get what you want, EVER!
You will NEVER be happy!
You will be a miserable old hag from now on!
You will never be rich!
You will not be loved by anyone!

Stop stressing yourself thinking "My mind is a magnet", "Mind over matter", "I am thinking happy thoughts".

Give in to the REALITY that THINGS ARE OUT OF YOUR CONTROL, YOU ARE NOT HAPPY, YOU HAVE NO MONEY and THERE IS NO WAY OUT.

-------------

I used to think that The Secret works because I got what I wanted even if it came late a couple of weeks. Now I think it would have been better if it didnt happen at all, it did not bring good results and i became more miserable when it happened. Now i am more miserable than ever before, months of healing and making myself happy all came crashing down in just one night.

now all i am is rage, hurt and anger. all over again. and i am staying this way. i am not going to help myself anymore. no more positive thinking.

IT DOESN'T WORK.

this is where it all began

I had this book when I was 6. I was in in Prep Blue then (Manresa School), had my first crush (Si Darwin Cana, kaso years later realized hindi pala kami talo), and my teacher called me "Tai-REEL" (hindi naman siya bisaya.)

This is the book which taught us how to read. I saw this book at National, browsed through it and realized it hadn't changed at all. Same short stories, same scary pictures, same weird syllables.

This is also ONE of the first books which I doodled on. The fly pages (blank pages at the back of the book) were filled with drawings of girls in dresses.

So this humble book opened the doors to Nancy Drew, the Sweet Valley Series and Encyclopedias (what a nerd); works of Paulo Coehlo, Cecilia Ahern and Amy Tan (favorite!); blogs of Chuvaness, Misterhubs, Undefinedindo and Ebetsky.

And the flypages further proved that I should be a designer =)
